Een nieuwe rockmusical gebaseerd op ZZ Top zal vanaf volgend jaar te zien zijn in Las Vegas. De productie is in handen van Caesars Entertainment en ook de drie bandleden Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill en Frank Beard zijn betrokken bij de productie.
De nieuwe musical gaat Sharp Dressed Man heten en za in ieder geval hits bevatten als Legs, La Grange, Cheap Sunglasses en Gimme All Your Lovin. De rockmusical wordt als volgt omschreven: Sharp Dressed Man is an outrageous, bawdy musical romp about a Lone Star auto mechanic who becomes a modern-day Robin Hood, stealing hearts — and car parts — with the help of his merry band of beer drinkers and hell raisers.
Het script zal worden geschreven door Robert Cary en Jonathan Tolin die ook verantwoordelijk waren voor Grease Live! en A Christmas Story Live! van Fox.

Recent werd nog een nieuw album aangekondigd om het 50-jarig jubileum van de band te vieren. Het album getiteld Goin’ 50 verschijnt op 16 augustus.
