Miss Saigon zal komend jaar gaan touren door het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De musical was tot 27 februari dit jaar nog te zien op West End in het Prince Edward Theatre maar moest ruimte maken voor Aladdin. Miss Saigon was in totaal 760 keer te zien op West End. De nieuwe toer van Miss Saigon zal gaan starten in Leicester op 3 juli, daarna zal de musical door gaan reizen naar onder andere Birmingham, en Edinburgh. De laatste voorstelling staat momenteel in maart 2018 gepland in Southampton.
Cameron Mackintosh over de nieuwe tour: “It’s hard to believe that it has been over 25 years since Miss Saigon first opened, but if anything, the tragic love story of the show has become even more relevant today. This new production, directed by Laurence Connor, takes a grittier, more realistic approach than the original production while still delivering the power and epic sweep of Boublil and Schonberg’s tremendous score.”

I am thrilled that audiences around the UK will get to see this tremendous new production that audiences and critics in London have embraced since it opened in 2014; which I am now taking to Broadway with its original West End stars opening next March at the Broadway Theatre.”
Overigens zal de jubileumvoorstelling van Miss Saigon op West End in oktober te zien zijn in de bioscoop. Deze jubileumvoorstelling werd afgelopen jaar in september vanwege het 25-jarig jubileum speciaal voor vertoning in de bioscoop gefilmd.
